This paper examines the increasing complexity of modern project networks and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Systems Thinking can be leveraged to enhance adaptability, optimize resources, and improve strategic decision-making.
About the Article
Traditional project management frameworks often struggle to address the interdependencies, uncertainties, and disruptions that define large-scale project networks. This article explores how AI-powered predictive analytics and systems thinking principles can transform project management by:
- Optimizing resource allocation through real-time data-driven decision-making.
- Enhancing adaptive scheduling to maintain agility in dynamic environments.
- Managing stakeholder alignment in interconnected project ecosystems.
Now that new technologies are emerging rapidly, many proprietary advancements remain undisclosed due to intellectual capital concerns. While this article does not reveal specific industry trade secrets, it maps out key strategic approaches for building resilient and future-proof project networks.
Collaboration with Dr. Mohsen Bahrami
I had the privilege of co-authoring this work with Dr. Mohsen Bahrami, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Technology Foresight at Amirkabir University of Technology. Dr. Bahrami was my supervisor during my master’s studies, and through my collaboration with him, I gained hands-on experience in technology foresight and strategic decision-making. His extensive expertise in future research methodologies provided critical insights for shaping this paper’s analytical framework.
Beyond academia, Dr. Bahrami is actively involved with The Millennium Project as the chairman of Iran Node, where he promotes foresight methodologies for public policy and technology planning.
